Formed 9 years ago, Media 10 is a privately owned publishing and events company based in Loughton, Essex.

It currently employs approximately 160 staff and has fast become one of the leading players in the events industry as a result of the hugely successful Grand Designs Live exhibition, held twice a year in London and Birmingham and the successful revival of the Ideal Home Show, the 104 year old show that Media 10 took over in 2009.

Other events in the portfolio include the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy - now one of the largest attended polo matches in Europe; The London Design Trail; the Grand Designs Awards; Clerkenwell Design Week and launched Britain's Next Top Model Live in 2010, based on the popular Living TV series.  Media 10 have also recently acquired 100% Design, a popular design industry event and the 'green' car show Ecovelocity.

Its award-winning magazine portfolio includes icon magazine, the leading international architecture and design magazine; Grand Designs, the magazine of the leading property programme on Channel 4; The Selfbuilder, a monthly resource for anyone
looking to refurbish, restore or build their own home; on office, the leading office design magazine; the music magazine, M; and Spanish, a design and property publication.

Showmasters Ltd is one of the worlds leading sci-fi and film related events companies, running specialised media culture events for over a decade. After many years retailing collectable memorabilia in their chain of stores around the country, friends Jason Joiner and Mark Woollard decided to run events for both collectors and fans alike.

In 2002 they started up Collectormania, an event where the general public could meet their film idols in person, and decided to run it in one of the country's busiest shopping centres in Milton Keynes. It soon became a world renowned event bringing major celebrities from film and television to sign autographs and meet the public.

In 2004, when The Lord of the Rings was a worldwide phenomenon, they broke all records by bringing the stars of the film to the event, and the world's press descended on Milton Keynes along with 300,000 public!

Since then this free entry four day event has grown and has been joined by other Showmasters Ltd events such as the London Film and Comic Con, Europe's leading multi-media event in the heart of the Capital. It has become THE event of the year in most fan's diaries, attracting a wide mix of cosplayers, authors, artists, gamers, retailers and of course actors and celebrities. Each year Showmasters Ltd works with thousands of stars including such household names as Burt Reynolds, Carrie Fisher, Robert Pattinson, Mike Tyson, Leonard Nimoy, David Tennant and Gillian Anderson. They also work closely with such companies as 20th Century Fox, The BBC, Universal Pictures, Nintendo, Warner Bros, Summit Entertainment, E1 films and DC Comics to help promote the latest films and technologies.

In 2008 Showmasters' sister company Massive Events was born, dedicated to running smaller and more immersive conventions where fans spend the whole weekend at an event relating to their favourite subject; with talks, autograph and photo sessions during the day and themed parties with the guests and fellow fans during the evenings.

Together these two companies bring the world of celebrity and the world of fandom together, giving the stars a chance to interact with their fans in a safe and welcoming environment and giving fans the opportunity of a lifetime to meet their idols in person.
